David M.Luna

Mr. Luna is the departing Chair of the OECD Task Force on Countering Illicit Trade.  As a former U.S. Diplomat including most recently as the Senior Director for National Security and Diplomacy, INL, U.S. Department of State, Mr. Luna helped coordinate diplomatic initiatives on national security and threat convergence including transnational organized crime, corruption, money laundering, terrorist financing, IPR enforcement, counterfeit and pirated goods, cybersecurity/cybercrime, environmental crime, and smuggling/trafficking crimes that impact the US homeland, and destabilize global security and world order. He has participated in numerous global summits, multilateral and inter-governmental meetings and initiatives including involving the United Nations, NATO, World Bank, G7/G20, EU, OECD, APEC, ASEAN, OAS, Arab League, and other international fora.

With over 21+ years of Federal Service in the U.S. Government, Mr. Luna held numerous senior positions with the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), U.S. Department of State, Mr. Luna also worked in the Office of the Counsel to the President, The White House; Office of the Secretary, Congressional and Inter-Governmental Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor; and the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Special Committee to Investigate Whitewater and Related Matters.

Mr. Luna is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from The Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America.

Erdal Ozkaya

Erdal is an IT Security Guru with business development and management skills who focuses on Penetration Testing, IT Auditing and sharing his real life skills as a Lecturer/ Trainer and is currently working as Chief Information Security Officer at EMT.

Erdal has the following qualifications: Master of Information Systems Security (M.I.S), Bachelor of Information Technology (B.I.T.), MVP, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Leaning Consultant, ISO27001 Consultant, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Ethical Instructor, and Licenced Penetration Tester. He is a lecturer at Charles Sturt University and is also completing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in IT Security.

He is an award winning speaker and technical expert in worldwide conferences such as Microsoft TechEd, Hacker Halted, Microsoft Management Summit, AusCERT, trade shows and in webcasts for Microsoft and EC-Council and many other vendors. He was awarded “Best Speaker” in Microsoft TechEd Australia and an won the Global Instructor of the Year Award (2011 & 2012) and “Circle of Excellence Award” from EC Council. His proven success deployments especially in the areas of Microsoft workloads in real life has become subject to IT magazines.

Erdal is advising and creating content to Government departments, Fortune 500 companies and Information Security Professionals to ensure they are getting prepared against latest “Cyber Crime” and being able to defend their organizations against any security breaches. He is actively involved in the complex IT security solutions, and enforcing regulatory requirements to the organizations, to protect their digital assets.

As well as his extensive IT skills Erdal has been working in the management field for the past 15 years. He has built and managed CEO IT from scratch into a national training and IT solutions center. With the skills he has gained he has introduced and repeated the success with KEMP, where he was tasked to single-handedly manage the ANZ region and then build the Asia Pacific region.

Udeen Singh

I am currently the Head of Corporate Security and Brand Protection responsible for Security/Brand Protection Risk Management for Diageo South Africa and their 3rd party provider sites. The job entails engaging with various service providers to ensure that contracts comply with our Global Security Standards and managing all facets with security which includes investigations and information security. I am also responsible to develop processes for various security/brand protection risks to ensure that we are compliant and to streamline efficiencies. My market area of responsibility, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Swaziland.

 

I have a Btech Degree in Forensic Investigations, Diploma in PC Engineering, Reservist in the South African Police Service, Certificate in Financial Investigative Techniques by the Internal Revenue Service (USA), Certificate for the Detection of Counterfeit United States Dollars by the United Sate Secret Service and a number of other certificates in Risk Management and Security

Sultan ‘SID’ Dajani
“As a pharmacist, I feel I can be forgiven for saying that patient care is a passion of mine.”

Sultan ‘SID’ Dajani qualified in 1994 and was elected onto the Council of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPS) as the youngest member since 1842 and has topped the poll in every re-election since including 2015.

He has had over 400 articles published, is a national and international presenter and consultant and has had over 300 TV and radio appearances as well as trade and national press coverage. He has served on national and international committees as well as government working groups, on initiatives including the Public Health Leadership Forum, antimicrobial resistance and the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes.
SID also has various roles at the RPS including being on the English Pharmacy Board, the Assembly and as the Treasurer from 2011-2016. He is also the UK representative on the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union and Chairs the Falsified Medicines Working Group which is overseeing, influencing and Leading the implementation of the Falsified Medicines Directive due in 2019 for the Pharmacy Profession. SID is a grass-roots pharmacist, an independent Prescriber and a contractor based in Bishop stoke
near Southampton. His pharmacy offers a comprehensive range of professional services including medicines optimization, various blood screening services, immunizations, supplying Emergency Hormone Contraception, drug misuse services, numerous public health and lifestyle clinics; which he also does in clubs and offices.

Simon Brown

Simon Brown is the Director of the Film Content Protection Agency (FCPA) in the UK. The FCPA is part of the Film Distributors’ Association Ltd. (FDA) – the trade body for theatrical film distributors in the UK, which works in partnership with other bodies who share the goal of safeguarding films from piracy. Simon has 25 years of experience in the fields of investigation and security, in both the public and private sectors, having previously worked for Lancashire Police, the BBC and FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft).

He has spent the last 11 years specializing in the protection of film content from piracy in UK cinemas by focusing on the detection and prevention of illegal recording activity.

Fred Jordon

Dr. Fred Jordan is co-founder of AlpVision and has served as CEO since June 2001. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and patents and co-inventor of Cryptoglyph and Fingerprint, AlpVision’s core technologies. Dr. Jordan has work experience in the United States and in France. In 1999, he received his PhD from the Swiss Technology Institute (EPFL) – Signal Processing Institute (ITS) in Lausanne.

Mariacarmela Vozzo

In 2010, WCO has launched IPM (Interface Public Members) to provide Right Holders with a global tool able to improve the communication with Customs officers and facilitate the identification of counterfeit goods throughout the world. Mariacarmela, manager of the IPM Private Sector Team, is responsible for promoting and developing the only global anti-counterfeiting tool in the fight against counterfeiting.

She is working to engage global brand owners from all industries to become members of IPM, empower their anti-counterfeiting strategy and establish a long-term partnership with SSP partners providing track & trace and authentication solutions. She is working to expand IPM beyond Customs, making it available to other Law Enforcement Agencies, Tax & Duties departments, Interpol, Ministry of Public Security etc. involved in the fight against Illicit Trade.

Prior to WCO, Mariacarmela was working for an international company based at NATO HQ in Brussels, focusing on managing tax-free privileges for diplomats and developing relationships with national government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Customs Agency and other national/international agencies.

Marco Musumeci

Marco Musumeci is Programme Coordinator within the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and is the focal point for UNICRI Programme on counterfeiting. He started his career in the Institute conducting research and analysis on a series of emerging forms of transnational organized crime and was involved in different projects dealing with trafficking in persons, corruption, and counterfeiting. Since 2007 he played an active role in building the Institute’s Programme on counterfeiting, providing substantive advice on the overall strategic development of its projects and on the creation of new alliances. He actually manages a portfolio of several projects focused on counterfeiting and organized crime, with activities ranging from research and public/private cooperation to the design of training and awareness materials. He holds a Masters’ degree in criminology and international criminal policy and he is co-author of the first UNICRI publication on counterfeiting and organized crime as well as of several other publications on similar topics produced by the Institute.

Vidyuth Srinivasan

Vidyuth is the co-founder and CEO of Entrupy and the co-inventor of Entrupy’s patented technology. Originally from India, Vidyuth earned a degree in Journalism from Bangalore University while simultaneously designing and developing video-games for Raptor Entertainment. He then embarked on a stellar career across a variety of roles including Sales, Business Development, Marketing, PR and film-making while also working for software giants such as Intuit, Microsoft, etc.

Vidyuth established Entrupy in 2012 with Ashlesh Sharma and Lakshminarayanan Subramanian with the mission of using scalable technology to enable trust in commerce and to combat counterfeits. Following 4 years of research under the auspices of New York University, Entrupy launched in Sep 2016 as an instant authentication service for high value goods for the resale market. In less than a year, Entrupy has authenticated over $14M worth inventory for its customers.

Viacheslay Rybchak

Graduated from Moscow State University of International Relations in 1998 as a lawyer, specializing in international private law and intellectual property law.

In 1999 joined Gorodissky & Partners and in 2016 was promoted to partner at the firm.

Specializes in obtaining legal protection for trademarks and appellations of origin of goods in particular trademark prosecution proceedings in Russia, CIS and Baltic states. Viacheslav also counsels clients on all matters pertinent to protectability of designations registered as trademarks. He is intensively involved in invalidation/cancellation proceedings  representing clients before the Russian PTO and in the courts. He is a regular speaker at IP seminars and conferences in Russia and abroad and also an author of several publications in foreign IP professional magazines.

Juerg Herren

Juerg Herren is currently Head of Legal Services General Law, Design and Enforcement, as well as Deputy Head of the Division of Legal and International Affairs at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. Among his responsibilities are the coordination and harmonisation of the Institute’s legal practice, including matters relating to enforcement, and the coordination of the Institute’s activities in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy. Juerg Herren is also Vice-President of STOP PIRACY, the Swiss Anti-Counterfeiting and Piracy Platform. He holds a law degree from the University of Berne (Switzerland) and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College (University of London). He was admitted to the Bar of Berne (Switzerland) in 1994. After his studies, he worked for the Federal Supreme Court in Switzerland as a personal assistant to a judge. In 2000, he joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property and was, inter alia, responsible for the revision and implementation of the Swiss Law on the Protection of Designs, which entered into force on 1 July 2002.

 Beate Devoghele-Lalk

Beate Devoghele-Lalk is a special advisor to the Center for Responsible Enterprise And Trade (CREATe.org), and its wholly-owned subsidiary, CREATe Compliance Inc., two entities with a common mission to promote leading practices in intellectual property (IP) and trade secret protection, cybersecurity, and anti-corruption. She is is a leading international intellectual property lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in the protection and enforcement of IP rights, supply chain IP due diligence and IP contracts. Before establishing her own IP firm she worked with the legal department of Daimler AG as their Head of Intellectual Property and Global Brand Protection. Beate has led a diverse team of specialists from the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia, developing and implementing global anti-counterfeit strategies. She has held leadership positions in various IP associations including the co-chair of BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy) and is currently a member of the ICC IP Commission.

As a former product manager, Christian has a strong experience in developing and implementing efficient and integral solutions, understanding the challenges and how to solve them.

Theresa Bartoszek

Theresa Bartoszek is working with the legal department of AUDI AG as legal counsel for Global Brand Protection. She has proficient experience in IP matters and is inter alia responsible for the enforcement of IP rights in Western Europe, Latin Amerika and Africa. In this context she implements new brand protection structures and coordinates the respective legal actions. Furthermore, she is in charge of customs seizure activities and licensing of Audiīs IP rights.
